I enjoy the objective information, news, national and international information from CBC. I also like to stay caught up to what is happening on the streets while driving. and great weather info. I am disappointed with how skued CBC is in regards to their 'Community' focus. it would seem everyone is racist except CBC. I understand Canada made historical mistakes, and mistakes continue to be made, but this is not the only community that has suffered historically and continues to suffer. the slant is so heavy it is an agenda with a bitter taste. it is working in reverse. CBC Manitoba's slant is not helping, it is hindering. if they focused equally on all communities, and had stories on future development, that would be hopeful for all. including the communities in question.
CBW is the call sign of the CBC Radio One station in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The station broadcasts at 990 kHz on AM. CBW is a Class A clear channel station reserved for Canada under the North American Regional Broadcasting Agreement allocations.
Due to the station's transmitter power and Manitoba's mostly flat land (with near-perfect ground conductivity), it reaches almost all of southern Manitoba during the day and much of the middle portion of North America at night. In addition, the station is simulcast on a low-power FM station at 89.3 MHz.
