Since 1985, KUVO – an independent, public radio station – has provided a rare blend of music and news. We broadcast the very best in jazz, Latin jazz and blues in addition to seventeen locally produced, culturally diverse programs.
Love the diversity of this station. Love all the Great DJ's on this station. Cenir is a treasure. Kid of the sixties when I first heard Sergio and Astrud. Seems like the Music of Brazil has always been in my life. Growing up in Detroit listening to to WCHB and WJLB. Motown. Detroit Soul and Jazz. There are many subgenres in Jazz and KUVO tries to represent many of them and that's what I love about this station.

I remember many years ago KUVO was a great Jazz station when they played Bill Evans, Coltrane and more of the great Jazz musicians. Since then it has morphed into more of a 'catch all' for anything labeled jazz. This morning they played a hip-hop song and I made up my mind never ever to donate to KUVO another penny to them. However, there are many great Jazz stations and music online that are 5 star good Jazz. I will continue to have good memories of the past when KUVO was a great fm jazz radio station. The Denver jazz radio scene is not the greatest but it will rise as high as the mentality of it's DJ's and it ain't good jazz. Just saying! :(
