Around the World is a weekly trip around the globe playing music from anywhere and everywhere. Most of the music in each programme is new and current, straying into all sorts of modern and traditional genres. In any show you can expect to hear contemporary folk & rock from Finland, Sweden and Estonia, Afro-Beat meeting Brazilian dance, traditional Irish and Scottish fiddles, Spanish Flamenco with Urban & modern bossa nova, Canadian Innuit rock, and much more! There are contemporary musicians from Australia, New Zealand, and Zydeco from Louisiana. The show is hosted by Davy Sims, former BBC radio producer and member of the World Music Chart Europe panel.
